Guido Hertel is a partner in Kearney’s Munich office. Prior to becoming a consultant, he spent his time solving complex problems and models in his studies of experimental physics—one of his passions. Guido enjoys working with people, jointly developing solution strategies, and thinking outside of the box as a team. Strategy consulting, where he has been working for many years, combines both.

Collaborating with clients to understand their highly specific needs is important for every one of Guido’s projects. “We want to achieve the best results for our clients,” he says. “This means we advise clients in a way that is contrary to the immediate economic interests of our own company.”

Guido prioritizes openness, clearly pinpointing critical issues, having in-depth discussions, and establishing trust through a close partnership. “The insights I gain in my projects and the confidence my clients place in me to achieve objectives as part of a team are the things I really value in my work,” he says.

In his free time, Guido travels with his family; spends time with his son on his road bike, mountain bike, or skis; and enjoys going to modern or classical music and jazz concerts.
