Igor Hulak is a partner based in Dubai predominantly responsible for supporting the clients active in the resources and energy value chain, in both private and public sectors across the MEA region. Igor is a member of global leadership of the Energy and Process Industry Practice and is a global leader of the metals and mining segment. He also serves as a global ombudsperson.

Before joining Kearney, Igor spent 17 years in CFO and CEO positions at leading industrial and technology groups in Europe. He has experience leading companies with more than 5,000 employees in the metals, aerospace and defense, and technology sectors.

Key projects have included large-scale strategic and business transformation programs for leading companies in the oil and gas, metals and mining, utilities, infrastructure, technology, and manufacturing sectors in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in both private and public sectors.

Igor’s role at Kearney takes him all around the world, where he eagerly provides hands-on leadership in the high-stakes, transformational initiatives he supports. “I’m so close in battle with my clients,” he says. “We’re not just scratching the surface.”

He takes great pride in the impact of those projects, particularly in the developing and fast-paced world, knowing that they improve not just the bottom line of the organization that hired him, but the quality of life for an entire society. “In 10 or 15 years, we will bring our children or grandchildren into a country, and there will be green electricity 24 hours a day, perfectly functioning national economy infrastructure, and a happy nation,” he says. “That’s really rewarding.”
